David Lovro, principal at LandDesign / Southwest, has operated offices of landscape architecture and land planning in Santa Fe since 1976.  The firm maintains its office at 1925 Aspen Drive #600B in the St. Michael's area of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

LandDesign / Southwest has designed more than 300 public, commercial, and residential developments of various sizes ranging from 1 to 3000 acres.  With an understanding of the multi-disciplined approach to problem solving, Mr. Lovro's endeavors include programming and design, environmental assessments, integration of engineering and architectural consultants, master planning, and landscape architecture.  Before forming LandDesign / Southwest in 1990 he held the position of office manager for the Santa Fe office of Morgan Wheelock Incorporated, a Boston based, internationally known landscape architectural firm.  In the realm of urban landscapes and residential design he has hundreds of projects to his credits with special attention to xeriscape principles and people friendly spaces

David Lovro's BA degree is in biology from Augustana College followed by his masters of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Arizona School of Renewable Natural Resources.

David Lovro is past president of the New Mexico Chapter, American Society of Landscape Architects and served on the committee to Draft the Landscape Architects Act, State of New Mexico.  He holds New Mexico landscape architects license #031.
